Where in the World is Marianne?

Just about everyone in Chicago was in Grant Park today:

Seriously.  It was looking at me.

After a long day spent here:

This was snapped pre-beer tent
It may seem odd that a couple of Blackhawks fans skipped out on the big rally.  It's not every day our favorite hockey team brings home the Stanley Cup.

But commitments had been made.  Tickets purchased.  Friends waiting.

I promise to explain fully once my head stops pounding.  But I will reveal that I had a lot of "fun."

As in...

fun.

    Yeah that drink is looking at me too, but I kind of want to go hide in the cupboard. What on earth is it??

    Were there Swedes there? Sweden has a summer festival and so do some of the states with a lot of Scandinavians I believe. I guess if you have snow in the winter, you need to celebrate summer.

    Ufda! It is just hot here in Florida and I have been sweating in the yard for a lot of the week, trying to garden. Then we get lots of afternoon showers so the weeds grow.

    You betcha. The snow birds are smart--these retirees just go back up north and go to things like a summer festival.

      I cannot sweat anymore and need to stay inside, but, Marianne, one of nine "raps" have appeared on YouTube, put up there by my niece and nephew.

    Congrats to your Blackhawks! I haven't been paying attention to hockey, so glad to hear your team won. I love those sports celebrations. It always feels like it brings the town together, even those of us that don't really get into sports.

      It was a Bloody Mary with hamburger, pickle, olives and there may have been an ice cream sundae in there as well.

    Had so much "fun." with my Chicago pals.. By the way, Marianne, you were three sheets to the wind before we even got to the beer tents, courtesy of the martinis we had beforehand! Love you guys and that drink was AMAZING!

    I'm not sure I would have been able to drink that drink with its face staring back at me. Oh wait, it had alcohol in it - I could drink it. (Dollops of Diane - my phone doesn't like to let me comment).
