We've lived in our home for 14 years. We planted ONE "mini tree" in the front yard. It still looks like a sapling. No falling trees on OUR house. And I use so much hairspray I'm likely to spontaneously combust.
We had a tree removed that was by a utility line and could have fallen on our house. It was only about $3000 to cut it down and leave the stump. Now all kinds of vegetation grow over this stump.
Oak trees abound here in the county in central Florida. Nice shade, but they like to grow by other things--fences--by our best orange tree which is not suffocated by that oak tree. I worry that an oak tree by a fence will actually mean one day the neighboring cows will invade our yard.
Ug. $3000??? There goes Catholic High School! And I do believe I have never read a sentence with the words "neighboring cows." Ah the life you lead, Carol!

ReplyDeleteYou're a smart, well-styled gal, LittleMyoo!
DeleteYou are so wise to not have a tree.

DeleteI'm totally missing the point (intentionally) -- because I love the pics that show your neighborhood. Downed trees and all, it's so pretty!
