    1. Thanks, Judy! I did get a nap! As did little Joey and Big Joe! It was an all-skate!

  5. Okay...so, since I get to spend FIVE HOURS A DAY with 122 assorted kids, how much wine do I get???

  6. LOL! But I am glad that the kids are back where they are supposed to be and order has been restored to your part of the universe :) Honestly, I think the wrapping paper is the worse fundraiser; bring on the chocolate I always say!

  7. I would not be able go survive without naps. Yikes....I remember commenting a few weeks back to you that I was hoping the strike would happen so you could go to the beach. Oops! I guess it's too late to take that one back. Regardless...you can always manage to write a very entertaining story and I thank you for that. :)

    1. Hi-d - we actually did go to the beach on the last truly hot day we had. The strike afforded us one glorious last-minute excursion, so I suppose I shouldn't be entirely ungrateful, right? Thanks for the kind words!

  8. As I retired teacher, those teachers make me mad. They are well paid and need to be grateful for what they have.

  9. This was awesome. Though Marianne, you must upgrade your dream job. The Starbucks counter at Target is always queued with tired mothers such as our selves. Might I suggest the quiet repose of a bookstore stock room? I'm impressed there is any wine left in that jug at all. I hope school is back in session!
