Father's Day Dilemma

Here's my quandary.

We could really use a new grill.  Ours is about 10 years old and nearly exploded about three times.  Last summer, I was so convinced it was about to light the house on fire that I almost called the fire department.

Joe wouldn't let me.

I guess there is a bit of a stigma when a fireman burns his own house down.

But on the other hand, I really like cake.  Joe really likes ice cream.  And look what I found:

Baskin-Robbins has these bad boys available for Sunday.

New grill or ice cream?

This is an easy one.

I'll be hiding the propane.

  1. Ummm, cake. The answer is always cake. Especially an ice cream cake.

  2. What is the precedent here? Are you your sons' personal shopper? Let them vote I say.

    1. Somehow you need to get one and I can't wait for the blog post about one.

  3. Of course the answer is ice cream cake. Totally worth the risk of your husband burning his own house down. ;)

  4. Wouldn't you need dessert to go with whatever delightful meal comes off the new grill?

  8. I just bought one for 15 bucks at our church rummage sale. And made a Shutterfly Father's Day Book for my ex (from the kids). I say get a grill and eat cake too.

    1. You are a selfless woman. If I had an ex, he'd get peas.

    1. But you'd have a side of bean sprouts, wouldn't you? Don't lie. ;)
