The Mish Mosh Post

Those linear, logical people of the world have officially named me Public Enemy #1.  It has something to do with my organizational skills.  And taxes.  I'm praying hard that one of these kids will grow up one day to help me file our 1040:

C'mon boys.  I used to give you COOKIES.

After feeling a little disappointed about the whole tax return experience, I returned to my happy place courtesy of today's Spotlight over at the "Listen to Your Mother" site:

I feel a bit like Madonna.

Okay, so I successfully wove in chess, taxes, and LTYM.

Time for a nap.  Definitely, definitely a nap.

  1. I thought "The Mosh Pit" and I clicked on it, hoping to find you at a Whitesnake concert.
    Alas, It wasn't to be.

    1. There is something rather "mad professor-ish" about the chess kids, isn't there? They are a riot and they all can kick my butt at chess.

  3. You are so organized having your taxes done!

    My taxes are not done, but this year they have a drawer all of their own. I am hoping everything I need to take to the accountant is in that drawer.

    Wait to your sons enter high school. Today when I substituted in high school, I asked a daughter why her mother took her lap top away as a punishment. She said she woke her mom up and asked her to go buy her cake and the mother wouldn't. So she cussed out her mom. I feel a new rap coming on. She just doesn't listen to her mom.

    By the way, nine of my raps are in production for YouTube now--three per set. Maybe I can be famous too like you. My rocket scientist brother says it will go "viral".

    Are you viral now?

  4. It took me about 30 minutes and three re-reads to figure out LTYM. Oy vey! You always crack me up. Thanks -- because clearly I am struggling today!

    1. Thanks, Jennifer! No worries - there was some sort of blogger meet-up with the word RAM in it. I was all..."what does that stand for?" Apparently, it was the name of the restaurant. I'm definitely not the sharpest cookie in the drawer. (;

  5. Yes, the price of the scotch goes in the section where you tell how much your tax preparation was. You are hilarious lady!

  6. I keep hoping my daughter grows up to be an accountant or a plumber...two things I seem to need desperately and regularly.
