Yet here we are.
I am not afraid to admit that I prefer 2013 life over all the drama and mayhem of the stiletto-wearing parties I attended at the end of last century.
I can't believe I'm able to use "the end of last century" in describing my life.
But now?
This is happiness:
Everything here was 70% off. It was like $5.00 total out the door. Warning: keep a close eye on your cart. People are pilfering. |
In case you're confused by my admission, I thought I'd perhaps elaborate by sharing the beauty of my new Huxtable sweater ornament collection:
I had this vest. In 1987. |
And I think I got this one for my dad in 1988. |
The boy I loved in 3rd grade had this sweater. He works in musical theatre now. |
May all your days be filled with low-drama and fabulous sweaters.
Happy New Year!
Save these Christmas gems for high school ugly sweater days..the Walsh boys will be definite winners.
ReplyDeleteHa! And you know how competitive I can be!
DeleteOh, good buys! I still have lots of wrap left over, but I could definitely use more gift bags. I should scoot over to Target this afternoon :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I really love those ornaments...so cute.
Happy New Year!
I've been hearing that not all the Targets are doing 70% off yet. I'm just lucky I guess! Be safe. And watch your cart.
DeleteI got that same exact gift bag on sale only mine was 50% off. Sonofa.....
ReplyDeleteI don't miss the parties.
I DO miss being childless on new years day.
I spent the whole day breaking up fights between the kids.
I would rather be nursing a major hangover over some Ihop.
And I LOVE those sweater ornaments.
And I HAD all of those sweaters back in tha day.
Hey, I worked at Kohl's and the employee discount was stellar.
You worked at KOHL'S??? Keep talking. Fill me in on all their secrets.
DeleteAnd what will I do for you?
Did I ever mention I used to work at Target?
Happy New Year, Kari!
EEEK! I was at Target yesterday, but had the children with me, so I could not perform to the best of my abilities, but did snag some 50% off m&ms. We apparently collect candy now based on how much I see around here!
ReplyDeletemmmm
DeleteCandy.
You needn't ever see my tush, Andrea. The holidays are firmly stuck to it. As is the entire state of Nebraska.
I applaud your deal-finding! You know it makes me happy.
I was busy throwing elbows at Dillard's today. Maybe Target tomorrow? Happy New Year Marianne!
ReplyDeleteHope you made it through ok! I don't think we have Dillard's around here. Otherwise, I would have been throwing elbows right with you.
DeleteThanks & happy New Year to you!
Happy New Year! I love the ornaments!! Too cute.
ReplyDeleteI've gotten to the point where I have more ornaments than tree.
DeleteIt's kind of embarassing.
Happy New Year to you!
I could never wear high heels; so glad I am not young any more with how high the heels are these days; I'd surely trip and fall if I did wear them and it wouldn't be a pretty sight indeed :) I too like the quieter New Year Eve's; and shopping at Target with bargains like that is a great one in my eyes!
ReplyDeleteMay the year ahead be just as great!
betty
Oh, Betty. Why do I think you could secretely rock 4" stillettos whenever you wanted?
DeleteHere's hoping for a fantastic year for you, too, my friend!
Oh my god, I want those decorations! I want a whole tree full of those decorations!
ReplyDeleteI know! I got the last box (and don't think I didn't scour the entire clearance section looking for more). Happy New Year, Kellie!
DeleteI think that last sweater may have caused me to go blind. I'll send you the bill from my therapist.
ReplyDeleteI'll add it to your tab. I think I owe you about $400,000 by now.
